David Burke Historic Preservation - Preservation Work Done Right
About Us

We just finished the restoration of the unusual and historic facade of a 1917 private home in Heritage Hills in Oklahoma City. This neighborhood is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

The house as it looked in 1917,
The second floor original details had been removed. We restored the facade to its former grandeur, putting back the parapets that had been missing for decades.

Here is the home without its upstairs details. The parapets and quadrafoil windows had been removed decades ago.

The home looking  like it did in 1917. The parapets have been restored as have the quadrafoil windows.

Our most famous project was restoring the historic Rock Cafe along Rt. 66 in Stroud, OK. For this restoration David won an award for Preservation of Oklahoma Heritage from the state of Oklahoma. The owner, Dawn Welch, was the inspiration of the character of Sally in the movie Cars.

The Rock Cafe has a blogsite that also has updates plus some nice things to say about us. Visit the site at rockcafert66.wordpress.com

Our upcoming preservation sites include the famous Round Barn of Rt. 66 in Arcadia, Oklahoma.

David has experience teaching window restoration and repointing workshops. He can restore windows, repair worn or rotted woodwork, repoint bricks and stone, or supervise a complete restoration. He is careful and respectful to the building and to the proud owner or manager of the historic property.

Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from referrals.

We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
