One fine project, the carriage house doors of the Marland Grand Home in Ponca City, OK.

This is the condition of the doors to the carriage house of the Marland Grand Home. We will be doing the sets of doors on the carriage house and the matching sets on the Grand Home.
The Marland Mansion and the Marland Grand Home are listed in 1000 Places to See Before You Die in the USA and are both on the National Register of Historic Places. David Burke Historic Preservation is proud to be doing work on these historic sites.
At one time E.W. Marland controlled 10% of the world's oil. His first home, the Grand Home, is 22 rooms. When he remarried, he built the 55 room mansion based on a palace in Italy. From 1925 through 1928, Marland spent an amazing 5.5 million dollars building his home.
David did the doors of the carriage house in 2009.
Later he will be restoring doors at the mansion, two gates, columns on the artist's cottage and lintels over eight windows and doors.
Check back as we will be adding photos of the houses and the progress.
